Back to work, and headed in for a ten AM get-acquainted with the new Women's Center director.

She is very nice and really likes the climate (at the moment.) She's from Minnesota.

We chatted and I heard about some of her plans to increase use of the Women's Center archival and other materials. She asked a bunch about some of the women whose papers I had processed. It should be interesting. She wanted to hear about my background and areas of specialization. One nice thing about being in a women's center--gaining one's education on a non-traditional learning track is not regarded as strange.

I'm looking forward to working with her.

And--on the work front--the collection I've been working on for a while is beginning to take shape. I'm getting acquainted with the major "characters" and their life stories. I probably needed that two weeks which, for one reason or another, I missed.

Our "wintery" weather has left us, at least for now. It's back to just a light sweater for outdoors.

And (good news)-- the azaleas across the street on a little strip of land are regrowing. A year or two ago some overzealous parish trimmers pretty much mowed them down. But they are regrowing. Now I need to add "weeding point" (it's on a triangular strip of land) to my endless to-do list. I'm not sure they'll bloom this year, but they most likely will next year. Assuming I get the stuff around them cleared out.

I'll be going in to work again tomorrow, but Wednesday I see the chiropractor for my quarterly tune-up. And then I'll probably be meeting a friend for coffee and conversation.

The week has started out nicely and looks to continue that way.
