2010-03-04 5:20 PM Gorgeous Day Today Read/Post Comments (4) |
It was sunny all day, I didn't particularly notice any significant wind, and the temperature was a tad warmer. I wore a long-sleeved (cotton) sweater when I went out, but didn't even consider a jacket to top it off and keep away breezes.
I got some this-and-that done around the house and gave thought to doing some stuff outside. A short nap took care of that idea. On the other hand, the toilet decided to clog up. If you can resist the urge to try to flush again, it doesn't (usually) go on the floor. Fortunately, I have another commode in the house, and it flushed just fine. Naturally, I was out of Drano or anything similar. So, I had to go the store. I changed clothes, then checked to see that my cell phone was in my trouser pocket. It wasn't. Nor was it on the end table next to where I sit. Or in my purse or bookbag. I looked in the laundry basket. No luck. I looked by the computer. I tried the bathrobe I'd had on in the morning. No luck. I was just about to go next door and have my neighbor call me when I did one more lookaround. There it was at the very bottom of my purse. It is now in my pants pocket. Eventually I got on my way to WalMart for some stuff I needed (critter chow and Drano). I wasn't quite finished when the motorized cart began being difficult. I ended up backing it (it wouldn't go forward at all) by fits and starts almost to a checkout lane and explaining that if the checker could grab me a regular cart I'd be okay. My calimese tabby is talking to me as I type. (I think she gets more petting now than when she was an only cat.) The kid (Spots) is no dubt outside letting the possums and raccoons know that their dinners will be ready soon. (CC just dashed over to the window. It has reflective stuff on it so you can't see in. However, there is a tree nearby and birds frequently perch on the limb and twitter at each other.) As things stand now, I'll probably go into work tomorrow, unless the hip is giving me fits again. However, at the moment I need to fix myself some supper. Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
