Mine is so messed up. I've got to quit watching the midnight Star Trek. Either that or close my eyes more firmly and turn down the volume.

I slept really lousy again last night and decided that between the sleepies and the residual hip soreness my place for today should be at home.

Besides, there was a possibility of rain at the crack of dawn (when I'm heading in to work) and that rationale let me go back to sleep for a bit longer.

Tomorrow, for absolutely sure!

The weather feels positively springlike--not just the temperture, but the beginnings of growth returning to the major plants.

There's a tree near where I park (some kind of an oak, I think) and the tips of the branches have little reddish leaflets ready to start the new (tree) year.

And I'm starting to think about maybe putting in some bedding plants so as to have some color in the yard other than green. (I don't count the yellowish ivory of last year's annual something or others.)

The New Orleans Arena (next to the Superdome and home to the Hornets, the local pro team) is host to a round of the NCAA annual basketball overload. Hope that doesn't impact my commuting traffic on the way home.

(It just occurred to me that I should check my gas level. I think I've got plenty for the round trip. I hope so. It's a pain in the neck having an extra stop on the way in.)

My girl cat is taking a liesurely bath while relaxing on the papsan. The kid is outside, but he'll be running in when I toss out the critter food. It's totally beside the point that dog biscuits are not part of his menu--he still has to check things out.

And another IUD is about over.
