I haven't even fed the cats yet, but I'm in the mood for the "chatting."

It was a basically gorgeous day today. Very low humidity, no-sweater temps, and little or no breeze.

I discovered the outdoor conditions when I went to get the paper and mail. It was so nice that I read the paper outside.

Work had been on my agenda for today, but my brain farted somewhere in the alarm-setting last night and it ended up being set for PM, rather than AM. It will probably be a long time before that gets done again--I'll be triple-checking the setting.

I heard loud noises from the street fairly early today, and it was my ditch-digging friends. Naturally I wondered what they were doing now, so I went to see for myself.

It seems the underground drain pipe that runs across the street in front of my house was clogged. Clearing the clog was done largely by hand. (Actually, by the shovels grasped by the hands.)

And that was the high point of the day.

My original yard kid seems to have disappeared again. Probably his "regular" job (at Taco Bell) is taking up his time.

I should try to set up time for my car guy's kid(s).

Spring is definitely on its way--I just turned on the room AC. At the moment it's on fan only, but I'll probably hit the cool button soon.

I started an Eve Dallas (J. D. Robb author) mystery last night, but didn't get very far. Overweight eyelids, you know.

And I expect the rest of today to be as exciting as the morning and early afternoon.
