Earlier I couldn't upload an entry. And it managed to disappear when I was trying to save it.
Oh well. Try Again. Gorgeous day today, which made for a lovely drive into--and back from--New Orleans. No traffic problems, even though there are several areas of "vigorous" construction on Robert E. Lee. Now that both of the new I-10 high spans are in use, the highway department is trying to fix up all sorts of little changes at that intersection where I-10 and U.S. 11 criss-cross each other via an overpass. However, the connections between them are being revised. Mainly, the westbound I-10 traffic has moved quite a ways from where the junction used to be. And, for the time being, they have a man directing traffic for those wishing to go from US 11 N to I-10 W. (Death wish, anyone?) I am SO glad I don't have to cope with that, although it won't last forever. Let's see--the cats have both eaten and I put out the dry food on the front porch. Possums and raccoons both are interested in that. When it gets dusky I'll toss out the raccoon biscuits. Those go to the side--under the patio cover. I'm quite sure the critters listen for the clunks as they hit the cement. It's the wild equivalent of "here kitty kitty." Maybe tomorrow I can get back to the yard work.
