. . a literary action writing.

Yep--another IUD.

I did the usual stuff around the house, including serving as a feline bed for a while.

When it was mealtime for the beasties there was a young raccoon on the front porch, looking for a handout. So I tossed the raccoon biscuits into the yard while I fixed the wet food for the felines.

And then I put out the cat kibble for the possums and other raccoons.

I set up with the car guy for tomorrow. I have a 3 PM dr. appointment to check that pressure sore, and I'll swing by the mechanic's place on the way home and bum a ride home. It's not at all out of the way for him to drop me off.

Not only am I satisfied with the guy's work, it's lagniappe* to live on his back and forth route.

So this evening I planned ahead and hopefully stocked up enough at WalMart so that the beasts and I do not starve, in case the car repair takes longer than expected.

Today's mail brought a major temptation--a Dover Books sale catalog. I went through it quickly and noted at least four that I want to get. The prices are so low already that it's almost criminal to not buy them when they're on sale. A couple of the books are for beginning readers, and I may get them for my younger granddaughter. Guess I'll do that tomorrow morning. (My appt. is not till 1500.)

And that's it for today from the land under siege by dead dinosaurs.

*lagniappe: a little something extra. Similar to a baker's dozen. Pronounced LAN yap
