This one, however, had (has) rain in it.

The rain started shortly after I got back from a quick WalMart run. It's been a nice rain and probably needed, if nothing else than to cool things down for the evening.

Other than that, today was a MUD (monumentally unremarkable day.)

The cats have been fed, so I guess it's time to put out the raccoon/possum chow and biscuits. I also notice that it's darkening up outside. Not from the sunset, but from rain clouds. It sould be good sleeping tonight--nice and cool.

My car is running beautifully and also looks pretty good after its visit to the fancy car wash. Business was very slow there when I went, and the car got a really thorough cleaning--inside and out.

Next week I shall go in to Newcomb, take care of the last few details of the collection I worked on for so long, and hope they have a new one waiting for me. Best I drop them a line to tell them that. I'm not sure when the archivist comes off part-time loan to the state, but it should be soon.

My stack of yet-to-be-read books is growing--I need to get started on another book.

(Rainy days are good for reading.)
