Okay, technically it's not yet Summer, but so what. Schools are out, therefore it must be summer.

So today was a harbinger of the ways things will be for the next three or so months.

About midafternoon it began to cloud over, then the rains let loose. And the wind.

Next logical occurence: no electricity.

I sat out on my front porch, reading. I put the cat food out there, then noticed a little masked face tentatively poking through the hole in the screen the critters use for access. It didn't seem too concerned about Spots, who acted as though the raccoon had the right to eat. The little guy, however, was VERY nervous about the female human sitting quietly at the table, reading. He(?) finally decided that he would wait till I was gone.

The power had been off for going on an hour, so I decided to "dine out." I changed clothes and headed off to Arby's, figuring that the power outage was probably limited to a small area.

When I returned all was normal, electrically speaking, and I am now in my air-conditioned "office" room.

Guess tomorrow I'll do the stuff I meant to do today, but couldn't because of the power outage.

(And my car is running fantastically again, and looks so pretty after its professional bath.)
