In the mid 90s today, with more of the same on the weather-guesser site for the next couple of days, at least.
I did various Stuff around the house, and in the late afternoon I headed out for an air-conditioned supper. Arby's got the nod, as usual. The last few nights I've been sleeping better, and I shall set the alarm for tomorrow morning. I really really have to get at the front yard volunteer growths. And I need to get the burn pile burned. When I have worked up a world-class sweat and am utterly exhausted I'll shower, wash my hair, then (probably) head for WalMart for larder replenishment. When I got back from eating, my big boy cat was waiting for me (as usual) at the head of the driveway, in front of the house. He has a favorite sort-of-grassy patch, with shade from an (overgrown) bush. That's his watchcat post, apparently. He can keep track of all the two-legged and four-legged traffic--not that there's very much two-legged. My girl cat is (apparently) in charge of the front porch. She sits on her shelf and monitors the critters who come to chow down in the evening. (Which reminds me--did I put out the possum/raccoon kibble? Yes--before I left to eat. I don't usually put out raccoon cookies--dog biscuits--until it's almost dark.) I'm starting to feel nice and comfortable--I'm in the air-conditioned room with the computer. And I've got a wet towel across my neck. So, even though technically it's not summer for another none or ten days or so, summer weather is definitely here.
