I decided to not look at the thermometer, but to head for PJ's in the afternoon.

Good choice.

Both the cats spent most of the day outside. I'm sure it's cooler there, especially under a bush.

At one point I looked on the front porch and discovered CC coming out of the cat carrier (which is "stored" there.) Probably she was looking for food, because sometimes I put a dish of dry food (for the critters) in there.

News here is focused on the Gulf (of Mexico) situation. Oil globs are gradually "visiting" more and more of the beaches. BP may be "capturing" some of the leak, but (I think) it is less than half. Very depressing. And even more so to all the people who have effectively lost their livlihoods.

Tomorrow I shall try to get myself moving early and tackle some of the yard work.

(Stay tuned--those may be famous last words. I've made that resolve a lot of times, and failed to carry through.)
