Actually, it's cabin fever.

Raining--again. And it will probably continue several days till Alec(?) is washing southern Texas.

It was raining significantly most of the morning, when I had planned to take the trash to its pickup point.

By the time I went outside though (to get the mail and paper) it had dropped to a very mild drizzle, so I got the barrel up front by about 11:30. My trash guy usually comes about noon. If it's raining he'll try to get his truck loaded up so that he can start tomorrow at the dump.

If I missed that pickup, the world will not end. I have two barrels, and my weekly trash output is generally about 3/4 of a barrel.

Lady has been a smart cat and stayed inside. Spots, however, had to go out to see what I was doing, then sit on the lawn chair next to mine while I read the paper outside. He just now came inside and has to take a long bath, because he's covered with the mild sprinkles.

He does seem to appreciate having a house (with food) to go into when the weather is bad.

I started reading Michael Crichton's Pirate Latitudes the other day. That, combined with maybe an extended check of my inner eyelids, sounds like a good way to spend a rainy afternoon.
