Little Goldie (the young mama) came about noon today. She sure is anxious for that raccoon cat chow that I put out. She's also learned that I am NOT going to harass her, or try to touch her.

Now I'm getting anxious for when the kids are old enough to come along for the evening meal.

About mid-afternoon I headed out for more critter food--to WalMart, of course. All in all, they are the cheapest and most convenient.

When I pass the tee-shirt section, I always check the sale tables. And today I spotted a really pretty print marked way down.

Currently, the top news item around here is about the tar balls and other debris from the (still spewing) oil spill are in Lake Pontchartrain. The back yards of some of the lovely homes at the southern end are getting them.

At the moment, tropical storm activity is not present.

Thank goodness.
