Not a lot, but enough in the late afternoon to cool the air down nicely.

As I got out of the car and headed for the door I was greeted by a black cat (with white chest spot) and an albino raccoon (with swollen teats). Those two must be hunting buddies. They definitely seem to not be bothered by the species difference.

And Little Goldie has learned to be patient until I get the kibble poured out and shoved (with my cane) to within her reach. Once she starts eating I might as well not exist.

I spent most of the afternoon nice and cool, thanks to OPAC. (PJ's) By the time I left, the showers that had begun right after I arrived had let up, so I had no problems with slippery sidewalks etc.

Thanks to the rain, the air has cooled down nicely, so it should be good sleeping weather tonight.

Hope it's pleasant in the morning so I don't have the weather to use as an excuse for putting off outdoor work.

Today's paper had a (minor) article about The Sara Pailin Saga and the supposed plans/hopes of Levi to marry his baby's momma. Except, apparently the baby momma isn't all that hot to marry the baby daddy.

Fine role models for what was once a possibly vice-presidential family. I gathered from the article that the daughter is now the marriage-resistant one.

Of course, the Saturday papers are usually thin on news, and the Editorial Powers evidently figured that this might add a bit of "readability" to the paper.

I find it hard to believe that July is half over already--seems like June just began.

However, it is about the halfway point in the academic summer in these parts. The kids will return to school right about Labor Day or a bit before.

So this evening will be reading more in the Tepper book. It's a long one, but I hope to have it in the mail by the end of the week.

A good weekend to y'all!
