Not much going on today. I got a halfway decent night's sleep, and when I woke up I actually got some stuff done around the house.

I was debating heading for PJ's after lunch, but then I looked outside and it was threatening rain.

So instead I phoned a friend in Mobile and eventually we settled on a day for our more-or-less annual Gulf States History Conference--aka long lunch at Arby's in Gulfport.

Earlier in the afternoon I'd heard a chattering near the back (side) door. It was the children, out "hunting" for food.

I tossed out a couple of handfuls of small dog biscuits, and that kept them happy for quite a while.

Then I refilled the various dishes on the front porch with cat chow when I fed the cats their wet food inside.

It's been threatening rain most of today, but (so far) I haven't been in any of it.

I had supper at Arby's this evening and got some more reading done in the Tepper book. I can't set it aside for too long, or I'll lose track of the various plot threads.

I expect to continue reading this evening.

Definitely an IUD. (Except for the "conference" with my friend.)
