The Saints game didn't look too great at first, but they got their act together and chalked up another W.

Next week is a bye week for them.

I was having trouble with my TV remote, even after I put in fresh batteries, so I went out to WalMart to get another remote.

I was having problems getting it to set up (it's one of those universal ones and has to search for codes in the device you want it to control) so I tried again with the old one. This time it worked. I used different batteries from the first attempt. Either all the batteries in the package weren't fresh or the Powers That Be reminded me that I needed to gas the car up for the coming week, which I did before I went into WalMart.

The cooler nights mean that I have a VERY friendly large cat that wants to share my body heat. No problem there--it works both ways.

So tomorrow I shall return to Newcomb and the DeBeaky sisters. (I'm not dead certain about the name spelling.)

I will be turning off the lights and TV somewhat earlier than in the past week or so.
