And I still haven't done much of anything on the gifting front.

The celebration will be low-scale (thank goodness) and in the morning, since the Hoffstadt huge family thing will be hosted by the daughter who used the Saints tickets a week or so ago.

That gives me about five days to come up with gifts. Probably books--for the young granddaughter--although I think my entire child and youth library moved itself to YD's house several years ago.

I saw no signs of the little brown mouse today, but I didn't expect to. My rather long experience with cats is that when they are house cats they have little (if any) appetite for something that is fuzzy on the outside.

We're currently in a mild spell (weatherwise) which is really lovely.

And (on the sad side) a long time weatherman passed this week. He was 92.

He was the chief forecaster for the local CBS channel when we lived here in the sixties. He'd retired by Katrina, but when he evacuated to Baton Rouge we all knew that we were in for a bad one. And he was right.

Maybe tomorrow I'll send out some holiday cards. I'm sure I have enough leftovers from previous years--and how many people would recognize one of my leftovers?

That's about it--another IUD.
