(Notice I said "W"--not Dubya.)

Yes, the Saints--last year's Super Bowl champions (after more than 40 years as part of the NFL) managed to win this afternoon.

It was definitely not a blowout, but once they got ahead they managed to stay ahead.

And that meant the YD and I could cut out before the masses and avoid the traffic entanglement that occurs when everybody leaves more or less at once.

We're on level five (roof) of the parking garage, so you can just imagine how long that can take. I've seen others on the roof who haul out the barbecues and cook again.

This was the last home game of the season--and also the last week of the season. Next Saturday and Sunday are wild card playoffs. I need to go back to today's paper to find out what/where/if the Saints might be playing next weekend (wildcard weekend).

The weather here is feeling just a tiny bit "crisper," but then it's January. There have been a couple of freeze-maybes, but overall not a bad winter (so far.) I expect to have a feline blanket or two tonight.

I plan to go in to work at least one day this week, but that will probably be near the end of the week. Tulane classes don't start again till a week from tomorrow.

And that's about it for today.
