I wrote one of these already, but somehow it went into a black hole or something.
(later note: it just popped up, so you will probably find a bunch of stuff you've already read.) The sunny colors are a suggestion to the skies which have been gray all day and leaky most of the day. A large part of the eastern half of the country has been under weather warnings for the better part of today. The really nasty stuff has, for the most part, missed us--or maybe it just hasn't arrived yet. Most of today was borderline rainy here. And chilly. "Raw" was the descriptive word used by my parents for days like today. In the afternoon I drove down to the mailbox (it was drizzling) to retrieve the mail and paper, and got the chance to say hello to my trash picker-upper as he took today's offering. That was the extent of my "outings" today. My girl cat is being very domestic today--I don't think she's been out at all. The big guy has--he much prefers the outdoor privies. I put out the kibble for the front-porch visitors but I haven't yet tossed out the biscuits. (On the rare occassions when I go on a vacation the pet sitter not only feeds and tends the cats, but puts out the assorted critter foods too.) Whether or not I go in to work tomorrow depends on how disgusting the weather is. I suspect that I'll be mostly at home tomorrow. Oh well, I can catch up on the laundry and run the vacuum around.
