Overall, a good day.

But oh that early AM traffic just off the interstate on Claiborne Avenue!!!

Usually, it's a fairly straightforward exit, with one lane of traffic coming from the interstate to join a three lane (on each side of the neutral ground) road.

But when you manage to have only one lane available (at peak AM hours) it really backs the cars up. I don't want to even think about how far back the interstate was blocked.

Claiborne Avenue has been under re-construction for well over a month now. If they ever finish, it should not only look really nice, but move traffic more efficiently.

Hell may have to freeze over before that happens.

I had sort of planned on going in tomorrrow, but the traffic tie-up is raising questions about whether that would be an intelligent thing to do.

The afternoon wasn't too bad, but I was on the road about 3 PM--a bit ahead of school bus and home-going traffic.

It was nice to be back at work, and I continue to make progress there. Wne I get this part of the collection done I'll bring the inventory lists home to type.

The early morning continued to be "interesting" when I parked my car. No other cars around. Till the afternoon, of course. And I looked at the distance left between the bumpers (both front and rear) and crossed my fingers that I'd left enough curb space to be able to jockey the car out.

Big sigh of relief--it was a piece of cake. There are no driveways in the section where I now park, so I just had to hope that other drivers would leave jockeying room.

The cats were waiting for me--they can't get at the good food without the help of their goddess.

And the regular raccoons were not far behind the cats. They know all the food signals too.

Just glanced at the clock, and tomorrow's weather forecast will be on shortly. If the forecast is soggy, I'll stay up later watching mindless TV.
