I figured I'd better start off my electronic evening with a posting, since I completely forgot yesterday.

My honorary daughter-in-law (what else would you call the marital companion of my honorary son?) e-mailed me early today to see if I was OK.

I seem to recall writing a daily whatever, but obviously I didn't. Or I forgot to upload it.

Well, yesterday was an IUD. The cats hung around, "relaxing" most of the day. They've both found cool spots from which they can observe and supervise (if needed) various critter activities. Observe is the key word here.

They watch the raccoons visit the front porch for their share of cat kibble, and later on they observe the cookie toss. (dog biscuits on the lawn)

No signs of the mamas any more--they are probably in a secluded wooded area resting up and then going and getting knocked up again.

WalMart opens about 0800. I think I was there at 0805. Critter food of various types was top priority, as usual. But I also grabbed one of their ready-made garden salads for supper. (I forgot it was in the fridge, so it's lunch tomorrow. No problem--they keep well.)

And the nail salon people were just opening up their place, and greeted me enthusiastically. I suspect that there are some of their clients who have a "hierarchical" (and racial) mentality/attitude. And they forget that at some point in their background their ancestors were also immigrants.

Oh well.

Today was not much of anything, but at least it was a pleasant temperature.

The paper carried a bunch of details about the Superdome renovation and fancying-up. I rather imagine that there will be a lot of early birds for the first game preseason. The guy who called me about my new seats acted as though finding one's seats would not be that big of a deal.

We'll have to see.

I told him that I was handicapped, and why I really wanted to still have an aisle seat and he said that would be the case. I hope some of our neighbors will be the same. We got these particular seats about fifteen years ago.

I think the Essence Festival will be its first "event."

Time now to check on the menagerie, then settle down for mindless TV.
