Hot again, but after all it's near the end of June.

Not unbearably hot, and, as usual down here, there's the possibility of showers.

But what do you expect? It's SUMMER!! In the Deep South.

My day has been generally blah and devoted to little junk that more or less sort of needed doing.

Bill-paying falls into that category.

I haven't felt the need to go anywhere, so I haven't.

And I don't plan to go in to Tulane (Newcomb) tomorrow. There's a strong probability of rain on the agenda, and I don't care to be walking around with a cane on wet sidewalks.

The cats have spent an equally energetic day. Why even think about chasing mice or whatever when there is a human ready to hand out food that doesn't wiggle or have bones in it!

The raccoons sent an emissary to make with the pleading "I'm starving" look, which generally gets edible results. And (of course) it did.

Some people spend money on booze and beer. I spend it on critter food.

(Do you get the feeling that this has been an IUD? You're right.)

So--I guess that's it for today.
