That's a pretty good description of today.
The mail hasn't been getting here till after noon, which messes up my "routine" more than a little. I try to avoid making two trips to the front--one for the paper and another for the mail. And if I am at home and run some AM errands, the mail STILL isn't here when I get back. I may mention this to the post office the next time I happen to go there. On the positive side, I finally got around to making an appointment with the doctor who did my first hip. He was in Slidell at the time, but moved to New Orleans quite a while ago. A different doctor did the hip I broke in Kenya--and which has never really felt right or comfortable. I see him twice a year, and it's the same each time--X-rays, then he stares at them, asks how I'm doing, I say still having fairly frequent pain, and then he writes out presciptions for vicodin and a non-narcotic analgesic which they used in Kenya. It will be interesting to see the response from the first doctor. I don't have a parking pass (yet) for Newcomb, so tomorrow will be an at-home day again. Newcomb will be mailing me a couple of passes. And then I'll send a donation to them. I'm hoping I have a parking pass or two or three next week. I'm much more in the mood for straightening up alumnae records than I am for straightening up the house. Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
