I did manage to get a fairly early start today.
Tops on my list was Walmart. (The critters and I have this habit of eating each day.) Even though it was fairly early, because it was Saturday I had to wait a bit for a motorized cart. It's sort of fun watching the people going in and out. The "associate" who had door duty today was someone I hadn't seen before, but he phoned the other entrance to see if they had a riding cart, and a few minutes later one of the kids who bring carts back from parking lots chugged into view. (I'm sure they hate having to play with the motorized carts.) Part way through the store I ended up chatting with another lady of SS years. She also had a motorized cart, and we gabbed for probably 10 minutes or so. She was a bit older than I am. When I got back home the mail had come, as well as the paper. The mail was massively uninteresting. The cats and critters were happy to see new bags of what we call kittie bitties--dry food. One little raccoon must have its nest (or whatever they call it) fairly close, because she (I'm pretty sure of that--she's got swollen titties) is at the hole in the screen in nothing flat as soon as there is a rattle of the dry food. Once the groceries were taken care of, I started to watch TV, found something that wasn't cartoons, and watched a bunch of it from behind closed eyelids. Guess I won't be dozing off early this evening after that little nap. And now for ssome "regular" cat food for the felines, and then one of those WalMart salaads for supper.
