Or--rain.
Nothing like a rainstorm to cool things down in the evening. Of course, it also kicks the humidity up, but that is usually offset by the cooler temperatures. The cats do not appear to be inside, but they are probably in the garage or under the house, along with the masked ones who have already finished noshing on the cat kibble on the front porch. I'll toss out the cookies later this evening, when the patio isn't wet and the critters can get to them without drowning. My errand in New Orleans didn't get accomplished. I managed to get more or less lost, and as the skies became more threatening I headed back home. When I make another appointment I'll ask for a bit of a map, and/or street by street directions. When I thought about it, I realized I'd been in that area only once before about ten years ago, and it is NOT on my limited "beaten track." The people there didn't seem upset by my cancellation. (And my cancellation probably made it possible for them to get going before the rains.) Tomorrow I need to get excess books together and box them up for Sunday. Our minister this Sunday is usually in New Orleans and, in addition to a food ministry, they have a smallish library and regular book sales. I'll pass along my excess to her. It sounds like the rain is letting up. Think I'll check the weather radar. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
