Being a Goddess

I am a goddess to my cats, especially the big boy cat who adopted me.

He wants to show his adoration by being in physical contact with me as much as possible--when he isn't hanging out with the raccoons.

This is generally fine--especially in the winter.

But he wants to worship me when I'm typing.

And not just passive worship, but taking a full bath next to the keyboard and constantly bumping my typing hand(s) and fingers.

At the moment he is between the keyboard and the monitor, bathing his privates.

This makes it difficult for me to see what I am actually typing.

So if the entry doesn't make sense, blame the cat.

Today was a very quiet one. I decided that, since I don't have any book-size cartons lying around, I'd bundle the books in stacks of 5 or 6 and tie them together.

So--a trip to WalMart to get the right kind of cord and the usual couple of other things became necessary.

This evening I'll start getting things ready. Church isn't until 11 AM, so I'll have a bunch of morning time to finish what I don't get done this evening.

Today did not seem quite as hot as the last few days. That works for me. It doesn't look (from the weather maps) like the evening will bring rain later tonight.

Rain in hot summer weather weather is not always a blessing--frequently it just increases the humidity to the very uncomfortable level.

We'll see what happens this evening.

Too bad the cat can't be a little help with the book project.
