And no sign of cooling showers--at least for the next day or so.

And tonight is the first game of the 2011 season for the Saints.

I had a note from my broker (and friend) mentioning her "availability" in case I had any other tickets looking for a home. I'm glad she e-mailed--her name had just not come to my mind as someone potentially interested in Saints tickets.

The pre-game activities shown on TV indicated that quite a crowd was gathering. And I rather expect that channel whatever (I think it's the Fox channel here) will be getting lots of viewers.

Meteorologically speaking, it's hot. Still. At least it cools down fairly nicely at night.

This evening I had a raccoon come up on the porch and give me a "where's the food" look--just like the cats do. It was very polite, but it wanted to be sure I knew it was hungry.

Once it's evening I toss out a couple of handfuls of raccoon cookies.

Pro football on a Friday evening is not the norm around here--and I have to stop and think about what day of the week it is. With a game this evening, I keep thinking tomorrow is Sunday. Or Monday.

And a glance at the clock in the lower right corner of the monitor suggest that I quit gabbing and get back to the TV--and the game.
