Cooling Down--a little

Very little, but it's been hot long enough that the higher temperatures are beginning to feel (almost) normal.

Today was definitely an IUD, occupied by little household stuff.

The assorted four-footed ones showed up for evening chow. The raccoons know the ritual and are very polite--until I am off the porch. Then I occassionally hear a little growling, even though I put the cat chow in three dishes to reduce the competition.

Later--after it's dark--I'll toss out several handfuls (or is it handsful?) of cheap dog biscuits. The cat has no interest whatsoever in those. The raccoons hold the biscuits in their "hands" and nibble on them till they're gone.

In the late afternoon I did some quick errands at Walgreen's and then went through the Arby's drive-through for a quick salad supper.

I did say today was massively unremarkable, didn't I?
