A relatively productive day, I guess.

Weather has been gorgeous. I don't think I glowed at all today. (Horses sweat, gentlemen perspire, ladies glow.)

I did mostly lilttle stuff around the house--a little nap here, a little nap there.

Local news is all about the passing of the Archbishop who has been that for years and years. He was highly respected, and will be missed. He was quite old--at least 80s, but quite possibly nineties. He was head of the (Catholic) church here during the integration years. I'm not sure if I ever met him--or heard him in person--but I'm sure YD did, since she spent three or four years at the Catholic school.

(When we moved back here she was headed for fifth grade. If we'd sent her to public school she would have had to change schools at the end of fifth grade to go to middle school. By putting her in the parochial school, she stayed in the same school. There was no hassle from them with accepting a non-Catholic kid--she had been in an Episcopal school for four years. Educationally it was a fairly reasonable decision.

There was a side "benefit"--she learned just how stuck-up kids that age could be.)

Back to Archbishop Hannan--he'll be buried in the cathedral itself. Quite a few of the previous archbishops are there under the floor.

I find all the long-time traditions interesting.

Weather today was gorgeous again--pleasantly warm and reasonably sunny.

Three quarters of the calendar year is just about gone. Before you know it the stores will be full of Christmas stuff. (bah humbug)

I think tomorrow's supposed to be as nice (weatherwise) as today has been!
