I'll stick with the green part of Christmas colors.
Anybody know how/why red and green became "the" colors for the season? Offhand I'd say they probably do not have a religious source. Red is the color of blood, and while that might be appropriate just before Easter, I'm not sure how it fits with a winter holiday. Green is sort of a "live forever" color--and the color of new birth in plant life. It also is the color of Envy, for what that's worth. Today was (finally) a work day again, and I got a fair amount accomplished. In fact, I brought home the rough drafts of the inventory listings. It's so much easier than trying to use one of the library's computers. For starters, the ones that aren't Apples are usually in use by the staff. And Apples and I never have established a working relationship. So--that was today. I forgot to take my phone into work. I almost never get calls at work (or at home) during the day, but it's nice to be able to check the date and time. I haven't decided yet whether to take tomorrow off and get some work done about the house. (I guess it's legal to sell fireworks again. New Year's Eve is a traditional fireworks night in this area, but I didn't think fireworks sales were legal this far ahead. And there's that crackling noise in the background already.)
