That's the Word for today.

It's a verb and means "to mask the true nature of; give a deceptively attractive appearance to." Second meaning is "to deal with (a subject or problem) too lightly or not at all."

The sample sentence given is way long, so I'll skip that.

The day itself was an IUD, broken by a quick trip to Walgreen's for something moderately essential (can't remember what at this point).

My hip/back were not in the mood to stand for long periods, and I managed to get behind someone who had several discount-type coupons which she was trying to explain to the cashier.

I'm leaning heavily on the cart (back was being difficult). Fortunately, one of the managers spotted the problem and opened another register.

They're pretty good at keeping the checkout lines moving at this store.

Other than that, the day was basically massively uneventful.
