When I contacted the cable company they were quite helpful and someone arrived in the early afternoon.

He was pleasant, efficient, and got everything back to where it was supposed to be.

AND - - - I had already written in the pay to the order name when he told me there was no charge. I'm still catching my breath on that one!

Well, I guess it's a public utility of some sort. I am NOT complaining.

The dogs next door were practically hysterical when he was doing stuff at the electric meter. The pole is just barely inside the lot line and they figure they need to guard it.

The meter reader is used to it. When he took over this particular route he checked out the various meter locations before officially doing the readings, making notes about locations and things like dogs.

I'm hoping that's the end to "stupid house stuff" for a while.

This evening will be spent roughing out an outline of what I want to talk about tomorrow.

That's two days in a row now that weren't IU!!
