Another ho-hum day.
And it was/is hot, so my activities were things done in an air conditioned location. This translates as car and stores, although my computer room also has AC. Current activity is keeping the TV on and tracking whatever the latest hurricane is named. I think it begins with a D. But--it is sliding its way into the Gulf, and the weather Service pictures have it aiming more or less at the Gulf Coast. And where is New Orleans? Right there on the coast, sort of. However, (so far) the weather people are treating it with due respect, but are taking it more or less in stride. I'll keep on watching it closely, because it has the potential to be quite nasty. It does look like this will not be a weekend for outdoor activities, unless doing things in the rain (and wind) has some special appeal. My dining guests seem to be coming less frequently. This is the time of year when they need to be staking out their own "territories." That's about it for today--nothing particularly remarkable.
