2012-07-05 6:07 PM Nice and Quiet--albeit HOT!! Read/Post Comments (2) |
The fireworks didn't bring on rain clouds, like they sometimes do, and today was definitely in the HOT category.
I went out to WalMart about mid-afternoon--the hottest part of the day. I got some Stuff, and when I headed back home it felt less hot. (Notice I didn't say cooler--that would be a big exaggeration.) The cats ate their supper, and when I quit here I need to put out Raccoon Chow for the front porch visitors. I was digging around in some Stuff yesterday and ran across an unused parking pass for Tulane/Newcomb. That takes care of a big problem, since the Women's Center people are currently out of passes--AND an envelope containing a bunch of them never made it to me. I may go in tomorrow and figure out just where I'm at with the inventory lists. So--another summer day about gone. Unfortunately, I don't see any cooling rain in the immediate forecast.
