2008-11-29 1:00 AM TaerTime: What is it About Trees? Read/Post Comments (2) |
Today was a busy day. Short form: got the Christmas tree up.
Long form: Wake up at 4AM. (Actually, woke up at 2:30, tried to sleep, etc.) Get onto hotel shuttle with Clan Kitty at 5AM. Got to SFO and through the security checkpoint at 5:45. There's a Max's cafe near terminal 26 that's always crowded, and not very healthy. Off to the right, there's an Asian Bistro that is not crowded, healthy, and quite nice. Parked there for half an hour for an early breakfast. Skip forward to 9:30, land in SeaTac. Skip again to 10:15, back at unassuming Kitty Manor. Unpack, laundry, etc. At noon, the Kitty Family (snap, snap!) head out for lunch, and find a Noble Fir at the supermarket. By 1:30PM, I'm cursing my saw because it's too dull to cut through the 5' tall tree's trunk of maybe 6". It can cut, but keeps binding. As one film says, "This tree has lots of sap." Skip forward a few more hours, and the tree is list, garlanded and bestrewn with ornaments. Laundry's mostly done. Bags are unpacked, put away. The Halloween and Thanksgiving stuff now sit in the Christmas stuff boxes. Well, some of the Christmas stuff boxes - we have a lot of Christmas stuff. You know kitties - we loves our brights and shinys. It's a good sort of feeling. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
