Suggestions of stuff worth seeing in the San Francisco area in the next few weeks? She likes musicals and dance (and I'm sure she'll chime in with a comment to expand on that). I'm clueless about this stuff, so advice is welcome... ***
Some great good news -- Greg van Eekhout's story "Far As You Can Go" is being reprinted in the next Year's Best Science Fiction! It's nice because, well, Greg's a friend and a good writer, but it's extra nice because Heather and I published this story in his chapbook Show and Tell and Other Stories. (Which is still very much for sale, by the way! Go buy it now!) This is the first time a story we've published has been reprinted in that antho. Whee! ***
Nick Mamatas will be in town next week, and is doing a reading from Under My Roof at Modern Times on Tuesday the 7th at 7 p.m. Come see him read and buy his book! (And if you can't come see him read, buy his book anyway!) Daphne Gottlieb will be there too, which makes it extra-awesome. ***
We went to the gym last night. It was crowded, as it always is in early January, because people make their New Year's Resolutions and attempt to combat their holiday-bulging waistlines. (I know mine is bulgier than I'd like.) It'll get less crowded in a few weeks. We're trying to be good about getting regular exercise. We actually like the gym, once we get there, but after a day at work it's sometimes hard to do anything but go home and collapse limply onto the couch. But exercise leads to more energy which makes going to the gym easier etc., so maybe we can get a nice positive feedback loop going. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
