Now a moment of honesty: none of those stories is likely to make the ballot. Not because of quality -- I am unqualified to pass real judgment on the quality of my own work -- but because they appear in small-press venues which don't have a great track record of garnering Hugo nominations. If we win, I will take and post a photograph of my Ultraman Hugo trophy menacing the haunted house Stoker trophy; this I swear. Oh, and of course Poison Sleep and Dead Reign are also eligible for Hugos, and also are extremely unlikely to appear on the ballot, as they are the second and third books in an ongoing urban fantasy series, which is to say, not exactly obvious Hugo material. But feel free to surprise me! Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
