Hugo nominations are open. My eligible stories from last year are:

"A Lake of Spaces" in Weird Tales, November/December 2008.

"The Dude Who Collected Lovecraft" (with Nick Mamatas) in ChiZine, April 2008.

"The Frozen One" in Lone Star Stories, February 2008.

"The River Boy" in Clarkesworld Magazine, January 2008.

Now a moment of honesty: none of those stories is likely to make the ballot. Not because of quality -- I am unqualified to pass real judgment on the quality of my own work -- but because they appear in small-press venues which don't have a great track record of garnering Hugo nominations. But, you know -- I got a Hugo a couple of years ago. So I'm good.

But if you're a member of the Horror Writers Association, do consider recommending "The Dude Who Collected Lovecraft" for a Stoker. If we win, I will take and post a photograph of my Ultraman Hugo trophy menacing the haunted house Stoker trophy; this I swear.

Oh, and of course Poison Sleep and Dead Reign are also eligible for Hugos, and also are extremely unlikely to appear on the ballot, as they are the second and third books in an ongoing urban fantasy series, which is to say, not exactly obvious Hugo material. But feel free to surprise me!
