The long New Year's break was most welcome, though it'll be weirdly nice to settle back into a normal routine -- missing so many days at the office means I'm feeling a bit buried and behind there.

My days home were productive, though. I finished my novelette "Troublesolving" and I think it turned out well. It needs one more round of polishing before I send it out to make its way in the world. I was going to write another story this week, but, uh, I haven't started anything yet. Perhaps that's what I'll do at lunchtime today...

Heather and I started watching the late '90s British comedy Spaced, and it's extremely weird and often very funny. Prefigures a lot of stuff Pegg/Frost/Wright did in Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, only, if anything, even sillier.
