Anyway, I have quite the weekend planned: Sus is on the road from Detroit as we speak, lowercase j and Aloha are getting married tomorrow morning, Sus and I have Yankees tickets on Sunday, plus I promised Yan we'd drop by her birthday party, and I believe the Monday plans are for Sus, Loo, and I to hit a beach somewhere. Which is great, and I'm sure I will have lots of fun, but I've been cleaning the apartment all week, and right now I look at that schedule and all I see is multiple hour-plus subway rides. So you can understand why I'm waffling on adding to that by heading out to Queens for the joint bachelor/bachelorette party this evening. (Which mostly means hanging out at the Beer Garden.) Crazy Tree will be there, and I bugged out on going last weekend because I felt crappy, but it means at least two more hours of subway riding. And, since the other drawback to all this activity is I don't get to sleep in, stumbling back from Queens at 2 am just to get up at 8 doesn't sound like a great way to start off. Oh, I know. Poor Me. Doesn't it suck to have friends who want you to come to their wedding or make long cross-country trips to visit you. OK, maybe I should break up the pity party by announcing for anyone who didn't know that Veronica Mars has been picked up for a third season!!!!! It will now air on the new CW (check your local listing to find out which station is the CW affliate in your area), Tuesdays at 9 et/8 ct, right after Gilmore Girls. As far as I can tell, the reruns of the current season will continue to air in the same timeslot on UPN until September. Also, I would like to thank those of you who have started watching already -- please be patient with me while I continue to browbeat the rest of my (probably dwindling) audience. Have a lovely weekend -- especially if it includes long stretches of time in transit! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
