Rival Long Island high schools (think Jenks-Union if one of the schools was in North Tulsa) work together to save the poorer school's football program. Via the New York Times, although ESPN will probably poach it soon enough. Listening to rock music actually makes you smarter. Which means maybe my bros and I need to thank Dad for playing Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn all the time we were growing up. Via the Times of London, though I was pointed to it by Daily Kos (and you thought I never found anything but political news there). The NCAA could back up my assertion that the 2004 national championship game didn't actually happen. Via Deadspin (Caution: comments on this post are definitely R rated).
