I was literally howling mad late Saturday afternoon. (Yeah, ABC flipped the feed over just in time for the East Coast to bear witness to Replaygate.) I'm sure my neighbors were horrified (although it was pretty quiet so maybe everyone was out). I haven't lost my cool over a sporting event like that since -- some basketball game involving either OU or OSU playing Texas, probably. I couldn't even watch the evening games because I just needed to not think about football at all for a while. And I woke up Sunday morning thinking about it, and got mad all over again. Though on the plus side, I was able to channel all that excess energy into cleaning the apartment.

Still, I was pretty much done with the ranting by Monday morning. And I'm kind of thinking it's about time for the rest of Sooner nation to be over it, too. Yes, this was a Don Denkinger type call, made at least twice as bad by the fact that it was reviewed, and then compounded by the fact that there was another questionable call right behind it. (It's the onside kick call that most bugs me, because those pass interference calls happen all the time. And Oregon still might have scored even if they called it right.) It's okay to be mad. It's even okay to hold a grudge. But it's time to shut up.
