2007-08-24 1:38 PM So I can have at least two entries this month Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (0) I know, I've been really scarce around here these last few months. It's not for lack of things to write about -- Yan and I have been everywhere from the beach to Broadway to a Staten Island Yankees game, I've been to a couple of Rad Unicorn shows, and of course there's that little uptick in the Cardinals' fortunes since the dramatic return of one Mr. Rick Ankiel ... but I'm not really talking about that in case I jinx it. (Though could someone please tell Reyes he does not have to give up a Grand Slam every start just to make things interesting?)
Do you realize this blog has been based out of Journalscape for over a year now? Despite certain limitations of the features over here, I still prefer it to Xanga. The templates are customizable in a far more useful way and the comments are a lot more user friendly, not that I get that many. I suppose the one thing I would wish for in an upgrade is just a teeny amount of storage space for images, but as long as I can link back to my Xanga account or the personal webspace provided by my employer, I can't complain too much. This has been a very odd week -- Emm's last day as a full-time employee was last Friday and she doesn't start part-time for a few weeks, and New Boss is now in the office mostly full time, so I've had a lot of things to do, some of which I would have done anyway, and some which I have to do now that Emm's not here. I also forgot how much more the phone rings when we actually have a director in the office. In addition to this, we've had weather more appropriate for October than August -- complete with no sun from Sunday to late yesterday afternoon. On top of that, Lala came by for a visit on Wednesday, though I didn't get a chance to talk to her, but I could hear her while she was talking to her old boss, just like I could before she left. I'm feeling a little like Alice in Wonderland -- everything's all mixed up and backwards. The weather has finally come to its hot, sticky, August senses, so I suppose everything else will settle down before too long. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
