And welcome to Monday night!

Yes, sir. Monday night! And Pretty Maggie is now moved in! A fairly heroic accomplishment seeings how we're both laden down with fairly decent-sized headcolds (and in Pretty Maggie's case--bronchitis as well). We got her medicine, and me orange stuff from Walgreens. We passed on the Big Furniture move thanks to kind relatives in Long Island and we got the essentials up here with plans to grab a few more things in a couple of weeks.

One essential we dragged up here was her mattress (mine hurts her back, but hers doesn't have my butt-groove, so I've got my work cut out for me). I've learned the fine art of tying mattresses to roofs of cars and realized that yes, with enough rope, I can tie up anything. This may come in useful.

Traffic could have been better, but we ran into heavy traffic for some strawberry festival in Long island's wine country. This made us late for the ferry, but with some creative presentation of the facts, we got ourselves a berth and the rest of the trip was pretty smooth sailing. By the time we arrived in Providence, my cold had gotten worse, but still not as bad as Pretty Maggies. Still, I did the whole maelstrom-of-activity thing and got us set up and installed, fed, and then collapsed.

Today's her first job interview and we've talked to the place we'll get our new kitten from. So far, so smooth!

Some last-minute changes in the Bulletin contents have me whirling about to adjust some layouts and changes. Argh. But will survive and the BUlletin will still get out in a timely fashion.

Received a wonderful piece by Ted White to go along with the Terry Carr reprint appearing in SoH#2. I also received a piece by Dave Locke on SF or Sci-fi, and a piece by Chrisopher Pierson describing his recent experience in discovering his family--with some twists and turns. That issue moves long well.

Today's link goes to the very first webcomic I ever came across--and which lead to my fascination and love of webcomics ever since. Kevin and Kell written and drawn by Bill Holbrook who has a couple of syndicated comics out in newspapers. Yeah, I suppose it's a kind of furry strip--animals acting like humans and all, but it's not tacky or anything. If anything, it's pretty clever in spots.

Hopefully my schedule is going to ease up a bit this week and I can get back to daily updates and catching up on everyone else's journals. ('specially the Clarionites)

Cheers!
