Music: old swing TV/Movie: Lain Link o' the Day: Mike Jittlov's webpage - The Wizard of Speed and Time! And again... another rejection letter in the mail yesterday. *sigh* Still, it made it past the first reader and had comments from the high muckymuck editor hisself, so that's a plus. And without wait--it goes out again this morning. * * * The Paul Frees book has one change--_one_ change--and it's ready to send to the printers. That's the fourth book out this month (fifth if you count a reprint) and the freeing up of my schedule that much more will be a welcome change. I have one more book in-progress, but it has no pictures, and I could probably set it up in my sleep. * * * So we have mice here in my office. I have yet to see them directly. My office partner has reported some sightings late in the day after the building has emptied some. We were always curious as to where they were coming from or going to. That mystery has been solved. We had an old computer sitting in the corner on the floor. Yesterday, someone from upstairs decided to harvest the computer's CD drive. He opened the computer and found it littered with mouse droppings. Apparently they had been using an uncovered card port to get in and out. We found little bits of food that the critters had gathered--including a breath mint. So not only do we have mice. We have biological computer mice--with fresh breath! (Yes, I'm going to bring in some traps--but they're the humane kind and the mice will be released into a grassy yard behind a nearby church.) * * * Friday at last. I'm very much looking forward to the weekend. I have nothing major scheduled. I'm looking forward to time for Pretty Maggie and me. * * * Today's link goes to Mike Jittlov's webpage. Don't know who he is? He is probably best known for the cult-classic movie "The Wizard of Speed and Time"--a semi-autobiographical movie about the crazy world of independent moviemaking. This movie used to show up a lot at SF conventions, but I've not seen it listed in programs much lately--an absolute crime. If you ever get a chance to view Wizard... I cannot recommend it enough--especially the final half hour. Cheers! Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
