If you're a writer, give it a look. * * * Did some writing last night and today. Some on a story. Some for an article. The SFWA Bulletin is well underway and it looks like it's going to be a more-than-decent amount of work considering it's the Nebula issue. So far I haven't run into much of a problem with the ads which are, almost by definition, problematic. This week went by at a fairly decent clip--for which I'm grateful. Granted, I will have to come into work tomorrow to make up for some lost time, but it shouldn't be too bad. I slept late this morning which is a first. I just didnae wanna get up. Hopefully this weekend, aside from being crammed with work, will provide for some opportunities to catch up on sleep. A lot of belt-tightening going on this week and next. Our impromptou vacation delved into our savings a bit too deeply, but I wouldn't have traded it for anything. It was just what we needed. I envy our European brethren who have more vacation time than we do. (Likewise, I'm glad we're not our Japanese breathren who have less.) * * * I love internet radio! Sure, I've said this a dozen times in this forum so far, but it still bears repeating. I just listened to a radio version of The Maltese Falcon, one of the greatest films ever made. Now I'm listening to a radio play starring Barbara Stanwick who hawks Lux soap during commercial breaks. * * * Not much else to report on for today. It's Friday and I'm glad. Hope everyone else is also. Today's link goes to Streets a web publication for and by homeless people. Fiction. Poetry. Articles. A lot of stuff about the homeless you may not have known. Enjoy!
