Music: Random jpop TV/Movie: The Village Link o' the Day: Life on Forbez What a long weekend. Pretty Maggie has been out of town the past couple of days investigating our options for new wheels as her car is about to bite the big one, and her job pretty much requiresa d ependable vehicle. She’s had some success and has found a very nice car that is affordable and probably won’t take too long to pay off. So she’s been absent which means there haven’t been any witnesses to me torturing the cats. No witnesses whatsoever, and remember, all cats are liars. When not dangling cats over the balcony in a Lion King/Michael jackson-inspired fugue, I’ve been working on various freelance projects. Yesterday, I turned in some picture edits, ads, and the silent movie star book and fiinished laying out the pictures for the Underdog book. I received the pieces to a collection of writing by Paul Frees, and am prepping for a book on comics on the radio. Busy, busy! Still, it’s weird having the whole apartment to myself. Too quiet. The cats get all thrown off. I end up talking to myself more. I type “all work and no play make Jack a dull boy.” over and over again. The neighbors are looking forward Pretty Maggie’s return. So am I. * * * Got a rejection slip, so sent it back out again to another market. Did a little more writing this weekend, and hope to have another story ready for market by next weekend’s end. Saw a lot of movies this weekend as well. The Ninth Gate, Sleepy Hollow, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and M. Night Shymalan's latest opus the Village--more on that later this week, perhaps. * * * Another quick entry. A lot going on in the office. For today’s link, my apologies for sending you all to a subscription-driven site. The current strip is always free, but it’s the archives you have to be a subscriber for, yet I’m finding it a very amusing little webcomic with a wonderfully thought-out SFnal sort of universe. If you get a chance, check out Life on Forbez Enjoy! Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
