Music: Connemara TV/Movie: Teen Titans Link o' the Day: Something Positive Busy day. I saw the doctor--a follow-up for my leg. Might be some torn cartilige, might be a tiny stress fracture, might be both. Pretty much going to do a wait-and-see before we go the MRI route to see if it's even necessary. It feels okay, although a little more sore today than yesterday, but that could be from the attention or the wet-and-cold weather. It's the cane still for me for the next couple of weeks, and no excess weight on the leg, which kind of sucks. Ah well. As the poet said, "Thaet oferreode, swa thisses maeg." * * * I ordered an instructional video for the bodhran and it arrived today. I've not been having much trouble picking the bodhran up, but because I'm not taking any lessons at the moment, and I don't get out to the sessions, I needed some visual and audio confirmation of what I was doing. I pretty much have the basic techniques down. I've got a better grasp of the various times for slides, jigs, reels, polkas, and so forth. I have an introduction to tonal changes. After watching the video, I think my playing improved by an extra 50 percent at least. I mostly need practice with tonal applications. Practice, practice, practice! * * * Quick link... probably a repeat as well... to one of the best webcomics around. Something Positive. It's always the first webcomic I check out in the morning, and the one webcomic I would choose to read should I only have one minute left before Armageddon. IN fact, it's quite likely that Something Positive is either a.) something which will hasten the End of Days or, b.) a sign that Armegeddon is already in progress. Enjoy, and say your prayers, Seeds of Man. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
