Music: NPR TV/Movie: Boffo! Tinseltown's Bombs and Blockbusters Link o' the Day: Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me Like most people, I have a morning routine. For me, it's usually up before the cows to get the car out of the lot down the street, then off to Dunkin' Donuts (it's worth the trip!) for Pretty Maggie's breakfast and my coffee. (mmmm......coffee!) I may or may not swing by the drug store or supermarket for supplies, depending. But I always start the day listening to National Public Radio (NPR). I get the BBC world news, and then it cuts to the NPR folk delivering local and national news. ![]() But at long last I think they're catching on. Yes, Unemployment blip. Recession blip. But then they hauled the positive stuff out of the closet. Advances in fuel cell technology. Online Xmas sales doing much better than expected. People trying to do something about the recession, and not rely solely on the government. It's morning in America, and Barack Obama has been elected president. That's more like it! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ![]() I've been preparing some material ahead of time...and some reviews of both books and graphic novels. I'll probably be doing the occasional movie review there as the mood takes me. If anyone has material they would like to have considered for review, please contact me at jdteehan (at) sff.net. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ![]() Cheers!
