My school does a fundraiser every year of magazines. I did not plan on subscribing to any new ones, just continuing Kids Discover (which is awesome, by the way).


Paging through the fundraiser booklet, however, led me to two interesting magazines which I decided to invest in. Russian Life just came in the mail a couple days ago, and is really fascinating. I think it helps I took an excellent Russian History class in college, as I understand the workings of the Russian government (Duma) already. It has articles on the people, geography, government, economic, and environmental concerns.


Also, I await Adoptive Families magazine. Although the website mentioned "Forever Families" once (and I will rant about that one day, I promise you!) it has some good, informative articles as well. I figured, one year's subscription to try isn't bad.
