We went bowling today. Really! And had a real live babysitter to watch Roman from 6-8pm. She was funny, kicked us out as fast as she could. I think she knew we would "hover."
I won the first game, Doug the second. Doug won the third, but a strike was counted (when he didn't really throw a strike) so we kinda scratched that game. It was really enjoyable - and we only talked about Roman on the way there, and on the way back. And actually, both times I brought him up!
It was a lot of fun to be just the two of us again, if only a couple hours. And how patient we were with a cranky (up a half hour later than usual!) child! We definitely have to keep up this date night thing.
