Reading today: Got a whole 2 pages looked at in my "Creative Sketches" scrapbook magazine.
Music today: radio TV today: nyet ----------------------------------- I have been noticing that consistent sounds are coming out of Roman when he sees certain things. Of course, the sounds are all very similar, but I think he's getting closer to articulating. The one I have finally noticed he uses appropriately is "hi". So I guess you could say that's his first word, since it IS used at the right time. Of course, it comes out kind of like "ha" but he says it when he sees new people. He also says "buh" when he's holding a book or looking at them. He says something more like "bah" when he's stretching his arms up to the counter - I think that means "bottle." And today, he said a version of "Blue" (as in Blue's Clues)! He was looking at the paper towel I had just bought, which had Blue on it. I pointed to the dog and said "That's Blue." He then began to repeat over and over "boo". But it wasn't that clear - he kind of vibrated his "b" and made a short "oo". Hard to explain, but he was definitely trying to say "Blue" because I had never heard that sound before. "Mama" he has been saying but I don't think he connects it wholly to me yet. He has also recently begun "Dada" but again, I don't think it's related to Doug. But life just keeps getting exciting! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
